Part of what makes Roosted so efficient is its ability to determine where workers are needed most. Roosted values your workers based on different criteria – just like a human scheduler would. If there is a single shift on one day, you want your best workers to fill that shift. However, **if there are multiple shifts on one day, your best staff may not be able to fill all the roles. Ideally, you want a mixture of your best workers and your lower-ranked staff. ** If unbalanced, one shift may go perfectly, but another may have too many inexperienced workers. Roosted solves this issue by doing all those calculations for you. Don’t worry anymore about balancing your shifts – Roosted has you covered.

How it works:

Navigate to Configuration -> Settings -> Shift Options -> Shift Equalizer. If Shift Equalizer is ON, Roosted will balance your workers between shifts when you have multiple shifts on the same day. With this option ON, Workers can only see the one shift where they are needed most. They will not be able to see multiple shifts on the same day. When the Shift Equalizer is OFF, workers can choose between different shifts on the same day, regardless of where Roosted thinks they are most needed.
