Geo-Fencing uses the GPS signal from a worker’s phone to determine their location, helping to ensure that they are at the correct venue when punching in or out. You can configure Geo-Fencing as either a Hard Geo-Fence or a Soft Geo-Fence.Documentation Index

- Hard Geo-Fence: Workers are restricted from punching in or out unless they are within the set geo-fence boundary. If they are outside this boundary, they cannot punch in or out.
- Soft Geo-Fence: Workers can punch in or out even if they are outside the geo-fence boundary, but these punches will appear as pending and require approval from an admin with Time Tracking capabilities.
For a Hard Geo-Fence, please contact your Client Support Specialist or open a
support ticket.
Enabling Geo-Fencing
To enable Geo-Fencing:- Navigate to Configuration.
- Select Settings.
- Go to Time Tracking.
- Under Get Location, toggle Geo-Fencing on.
Notes on Accuracy
Some older or entry-level phones may have trouble with location accuracy. We recommend setting a geo-fence of at least 1000 feet to accommodate these devices.Selective Geo-Fencing
For venues where the listed address is far from the actual event location, you may wish to disable geo-fencing for those specific events. To disable geo-fencing for an individual event:- Go to the Main Event Page for the event.
- Click on Options.
- Deselect Geofencing Enabled.
