# Notifications, Announcements & Chat (Desktop & Mobile App)

> Easier communication with your workplace!

Your place of work will occasionally use the chat system to communicate with you. On the desktop, you can view Notifications & Chats by clicking the speech bubbles along the top right of the page.

Any announcements or chats sent out by your company can be viewed under Notifications & Announcements.

You can view & reply to this chat by clicking into the chat, picture above.

To add a message to the chat, click in the message box at the bottom, type your message, and then either click the blue up arrow or press Enter/Return on your keyboard.

Once you have entered your message, it will appear in the chat, and all participants in the conversation will be able to see your reply.

Mobile App On the Mobile App, you can access Chat from the main homepage, where you'll see it listed at the top of the page or on the side menu.

Notifications, Announcements, and Chats are consistent across both the Desktop and Mobile Apps. Please remember to be respectful when using the chat function, as your messages can be seen by colleagues and management. And this is how you can communicate using the Roosted Chat! 😇
