# Sign-Up Bot - Settings

In this article, we will go through the Sign-Up Bot Settings and how it can be used to fill up open shifts. See the **[Sign-Up Bot](https://support.roostedhr.com/en/articles/9497214-sign-up-bot)** article for more information.

To adjust your Sign-Up Bot settings, navigate to **Configuration - Settings - Worker Communication - Sign-Up Bot.** You can turn it on or off by a toggle - if it is active the following settings will display:

<Note>
  Sign Up Bot will only work on shifts that occur within this time frame
</Note>

Set it to send notifications only for shifts happening in a particular timeframe by adjusting the scale to Fully Automatic or Semi-Automatic mode:

If you need a bigger scale, we have you covered! Contact your Client Success Specialist or open a support ticket.

## Blackout Times

These hours will be excluded from the bot's work - blackout **before** set at 8:00 AM & blackout **after** set at 8:00 PM means, that **notifications will only be sent between 8:00 AM & 8:00 PM.**

## Semi-Automatic / Fully Automatic

### Semi-Automatic

Notifications will be prepared to be sent but will have to be manually approved by Admins or Owners on each shift individually. Without confirming it by clicking the button, **the messages won't be sent.**

### Fully Automatic

With this setting on, notifications are sent automatically without any approval needed.

### Bailed-out workers

With this setting on, workers who have bailed out, declined an invite, or declined a Sign-Up Bot message for a shift won't be contacted.

And this is how you can adjust your Sign-Up Bot settings on Roosted!
